Condensate Recovery Pump Spares

Replacement parts for electric and pressure-powered condensate recovery pumps, impellers, mechanical seals, wear rings, shafts, bearings, motors, and couplings. Compatible with Spirax Sarco, TLV, Armstrong, and other leading manufacturers.

Overview

Condensate recovery pumps operate in demanding conditions, handling hot condensate at or near saturation temperature, often with flash steam present. This makes them susceptible to cavitation, seal failure, and accelerated wear compared to standard centrifugal pumps.

AQ Process Systems sources and exports the full range of replacement parts for both electric centrifugal condensate pumps and pressure-powered (steam-driven) condensate recovery units. We stock impellers, mechanical seals, wear rings, shafts, bearings, and complete motor assemblies for rapid turnaround.

For pressure-powered pumps (PPPs), we supply float mechanisms, pilot valves, check valves, and body gaskets, the key maintenance items that ensure reliable automatic operation without electrical power.

Frequently Asked Questions

Condensate Recovery Pump Spares

What are the most common condensate pump spare parts?

+

The most frequently replaced parts are mechanical seals (the primary wear item in electric condensate pumps), wear rings (erosion from hot condensate), bearings (heat and load degradation), impellers (cavitation damage and erosion), and couplings (misalignment wear). For pressure-powered pumps, float mechanisms and pilot valves are the main maintenance items.

Why do condensate pump mechanical seals fail frequently?

+

Condensate pumps handle fluid at or near saturation temperature, causing flash steam at the seal faces. This creates dry running, thermal shock, and rapid face wear. Using silicon carbide (SiC/SiC) seal faces rated for high-temperature service, combined with proper seal flush or quench piping (API Plan 62), significantly extends seal life.

Do you supply spares for pressure-powered condensate pumps?

+

Yes. We supply float mechanisms, pilot valves, check valves, body gaskets, and strainer screens for pressure-powered (steam-driven) condensate recovery pumps from Spirax Sarco, TLV, Armstrong, and Forbes Marshall. These pumps use no electricity, motive steam drives the condensate discharge.

What is the difference between electric and pressure-powered condensate pumps?

+

Electric condensate pumps use a motor-driven centrifugal impeller and are suitable for continuous, high-flow applications. Pressure-powered pumps use motive steam to push condensate, they are preferred where electricity is unavailable, in hazardous areas, or for gravity-draining applications. Spares for electric pumps focus on seals, impellers, and motors; PPP spares focus on floats, pilots, and check valves.

Can you supply condensate pump spares for Spirax Sarco and TLV units?

+

Yes. We supply OEM-compatible replacement parts for all major condensate pump manufacturers including Spirax Sarco (MFP14/16 pressure-powered pumps), TLV (SS1/PowerTrap series), Armstrong (PPT series), Forbes Marshall, Grundfos, and KSB condensate duty pumps.
