Our ball valve range includes reduced bore, full bore, V-port (for throttling), double block & bleed, cavity relief, and top-entry designs. Soft-seated (PTFE, RPTFE, PEEK, Nylon) and metal-seated options are available for temperatures from -196°C to +550°C.
All ball valves are available with fire-safe certification to API 607 / BS 6755 Part 2 and anti-static devices per BS 5351. Fugitive emission testing to ISO 15848 and API 641 is available for environmental compliance.

In a floating ball valve, the ball is held in position only by the seat rings, line pressure pushes the ball against the downstream seat for sealing. In a trunnion mounted valve, the ball is supported by a fixed trunnion (shaft), the seats are spring-loaded against the ball. Trunnion design is preferred for larger sizes (6"+) and higher pressures where floating ball seat loads would require excessive operating torque.
Yes. All our ball valves are available with fire-safe certification to API 607 and BS 6755 Part 2. Fire-safe design includes a secondary metal-to-metal seal (backup to the soft seat), fire-safe stem packing, and anti-static device. This ensures basic sealing integrity is maintained during and after a fire event.
Soft seats: PTFE (-30 to +200°C), RPTFE (reinforced, to +260°C), PEEK (-30 to +260°C), Nylon (to +150°C), Devlon (to +120°C). Metal seats: Stellite overlay, tungsten carbide, or Inconel 625 for temperatures up to +550°C or abrasive/erosive media. We recommend the correct seat material based on your fluid, temperature, and pressure conditions.
Yes. We supply DBB ball valves providing two independent upstream and downstream seals with a body cavity bleed between them. This allows positive isolation verification, essential for maintenance isolation, pipeline tie-ins, and critical process boundaries. Available as integral DBB or twin-ball-in-one-body configurations.
V-port ball valves have a V-shaped notch cut into the ball, providing a characterised flow profile (equal percentage or modified linear). They are used for flow control and throttling, particularly in slurry, pulp, and fibrous media where conventional globe valves would clog. The shearing action of the V-notch also provides a self-cleaning effect.
